Britt and Kate met with the Oncologist and got the details of the pathology report. Here are the basics:
It is confirmed that Daisy had a Wilm’s Tumor (now removed)
The tumor had spilled cancerous cells into her body
Daisy’s cancer is Stage 3 and has infected the lymph nodes
She will have a PET-CT Scan tomorrow that will determine how much the cancer has spread in her body and whether or not the cancer is stage 4, which means it has infected the blood stream and so may have affected the bones and lungs, etc.
Daisy will start radiation and chemotherapy some time next week
The histology (study of the microscopic anatomy of cells) is said to be favorable at this point, but is yet to be confirmed as such
We will find out in a week or two whether or not her cancer is a more aggressive form of Wilm’s that will require a little more aggressive treatment
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,”
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Psalm 53:1, Philippians 2:9-11
I was looking around tumblr at some of the atheists and it brought the first verse to mind. I also got mad at a lot of the content, but then I remembered the second verse. This is a sad thing for them and we should pray for them that the blinders will be lifted from their eyes and they will learn the truth of Jesus Christ.
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”—
(The 4 living creatures)
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME.
(The 24 elders)
Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.
(The 4 living creatures and the 24 elders)
Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.
(The 4 living creatures, the 24 elders and so many angels John couldn’t count them)
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.
To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.
I got close to death. And by the time I got online just now (there was no electricity since saturday night), I realized I was so near to it that I could really die. I thought our place was just one of the few places that got flooded (up to now), but no! The whole Philippines was trying to get its head up in the water.
Last Saturday, I went to school. I left a water-free house. Not knowing anything about the Typhoon, we all continued class until it got suspended around 11:30 in the morning. When I looked out, I saw that Intramuros, Manila was flooded. :(
Now I was planning to go home using an alternate road, but in the middle of my journey, it was already flooded. I tried to conquer the flood but it was just too strong. I was alone, I don’t know anyone crossing the flood like me. The people are going back from crossing the flood and they’re all shouting that we should just return and don’t try to cross it. So i followed, I went back. But the waves we’re so strong, (btw, i was crossing in Tullahan River) and I WAS FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE AGAINST THE RUNNING WATER, Thank GOD, I got a grip on a woman, and then there I started to cry helplessly. Some people on my back started to get a hold on me, and they’re trying to calm me down.
I finally got out of the strong running water and rode a jeepney but the flood was so high, so me and the other passengers have to walk. We walked from Francis, Malabon to Tatawid, Malabon (boundary of Malabon and Valenzuela) It’s like walking from MRT North End Station to Santolan-Annapolis Station with FLOOD up to under my breasts. (I’m 5”7 in height so just imagine).
I met up with my Mom then we rode a pedicab until we reached home. AND i thought i can rest but no, WE HAD TO CARRY ALL OUR THINGS UP TO MY TITO’S HOUSE. All of it! PC, Television, Refrigerator etc.
We didnt have electricity since sat, and we’re running out of food.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”—
Jesus- Matthew 7:7-12
Was listening to the sermon “Relational Power” and this verse just stood out to me from the end.
Most condemned criminals went to the cross unwillingly.
Jesus went to the cross overjoyed.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. -Hebrews 12:2
10As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries,
11seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
12It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look.
WOW! All I can say is this…concerning our salvation all the prophets (Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc..) were searching the scriptures and asking God. They wanted to know Who Lord? When Lord?. The Spirit of Christ himself was telling them of all that he had to suffer and the glory that would follow his death and resurrection! And God let the prophets know that they were serving us! God sent the Holy Spirit speaking through the apostles to announce the Gospel to the world and even the angels, who can go before God, long to look into this thing called salvation.
Great is our God and full of grace to sinners like us!
Felicia’s (autumnfringes) friend just called me and said that Felicia relapsed. She is still in major need of your prayers. I don’t know all that is going on but I know that God can heal her! Let’s all keep praying, please. I know that God can do miracles and that she’ll be alright.
Reblogging to reach more people. Our prayers are with you Felicia.
PRAYER REQUEST for one of the first people I’ve followed on TUMBLR.
Can one separate the music from the band and evil lyrics? The best way to answer this question is with a few examples.
Example #1: Food is good. But can be used for evil, such as gluttony. The food is not evil, the sin is.
Example #2: Money is not evil. But idolizing money is. The idolization is evil, not the money.
Music by bands singing about evil things, does not make the musical notes evil, but this is where the example takes a turn. Food and money cannot sin, but bands can. So is it wrong to listen to someone sinning? No. We read in the Bible examples on people sinning throughout; we watch the news and they report on sins (murders, etc.) all the time - and we don’t consider watching that a sin. But with Food and Money, if it makes you sin, you can then fix that part of your life. If music by bad bands causes you to sin, then don’t listen to it. You really can’t do the same with Food or Money (if they make you sin) since you need them to live. But that’s what makes this music thing easier than those, you can live without music, so dealing with this type of sin is easier.
A more extreme example: Satan has said a lot of evil stuff in the Bible. It is not wrong to read his words. Satan’s words in the Bible does not make literature medium or the Bible wrong. Certainly his words are a lot worse than cuss words and anything anyone has ever sung about. Merely listening to evil music (like reading Satan’s evil words) is not a sin. Sin enters when the music causes you to sin.
Britt, Kate, and everyone involved would like to thank you for praying so fervently for Daisy. It has been amazing to see God working! You have played an important part in that. We are humbled and encouraged by so many praying around the world.
We’d like to ask that you continue to pray and intercede for sweet Daisy Love. While the results of surgery are a tremendous praise, recovery is and will be a daily battle. Cancer treatment will be long and arduous. While Britt and Kate are still awaiting pathology reports, they are looking ahead at 7 months of chemotherapy and possibly radiation treatments for Daisy.
We’d love for you to continue to pray with us on this long road.
Pray at all times and not lose heart. ~Jesus
Continue to pray for this young girl!
Acts 2:42-They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.”—Philippians 3:20,21
“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”—Paul talking of his own death- 2 Timothy 4:6-8
“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”—Titus 3:5-7
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”—Jude 1:24,25
“I didn’t suffer for Jesus in prison. No! I was with Jesus and I experienced His very real presence, joy, peace every day. It’s not those in prison for the sake of the gospel who suffer. The person who suffers is he who never experiences God’s intimate presence.”—Brother Yun (via chrislazo)
The last time I was at the Lung Center in Philadelphia they noticed a couple of spots on my liver that the doc thinks are cysts but he wants to be sure. Everything has to be pretty much perfect before a lung transplant, I guess, and this appears to be the last test they’ll need. So the hospital in Allentown will forward the results to the Lung Center and hopefully I won’t hear a word until my next scheduled appointment in December. I think it’s routine but I’d appreciate good thoughts and any prayers you might have left over.Thanks.
“Only the ministry of the church of Jesus Christ, and the millions of “mini-churches” (Christian homes) throughout the country can attack the roots of social problems.”—Timothy Keller. Ministries of Mercy, 26. (via chrislazo)
“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”—Revelation 7:9-10 (via peacenotwar)
“God made us: invented us as a man invents an engine. A car is made to run on petrol, and it would not run properly on anything else. Now God designed the human machine to run on Himself. He Himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on. There is no other. That is why it is just no good asking God to make us happy in our own way without bothering about religion. God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”—C.S. Lewis- Mere Christianity
“Religion operates on the principle ‘I obey - therefore I am accepted by God.’ But the operating principle of the gospel is ‘I am accepted by God through what Christ has done - therefore I obey.’”—Tim Keller, “Prodigal God” (via fishforpeople)
