I still feel we should pray for his release! I also feel that Christians should pray that God would reveal the truth to him now while he is in prison. May he come to know each of the persons of the Trinity!

Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” ~(Psalm 50:14-15 ESV) But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” ~(Luke...

Nasty snowy day!
Well, yesterday my tires slipped on the road while coming home from work more than the rest of the winter combined. I do not like wet slushy snow. I will take dry snow any day of the week. Woke up to about 3 more inches on top of what was already down, but at least it is dry snow now. But, is their a nice sheet of ice under it from yesterday and have the snowplows been out yet. Got to got to work...

An Open Letter to Praise Bands by James K.A. Smith →
Excerpt of points: 1. If we, the congregation, can’t hear ourselves, it’s not worship. 2. If we, the congregation, can’t sing along, it’s not worship. 3. If you, the praise band, are the center of attention, it’s not worship. Interesting article!

Christianity Today: The rest of the Mars Hill... →
skripture-sketches: A few weeks ago, several blogs criticized Mars Hill Church for having a draconian approach to church discipline. But the argument relies on the fallacy of composition. I beg to differ. The article says that all the actions took place before the cases were on the blogosphere, but then why put out an article defending themselves after all these actions were taken. Why not...

For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of...

Reflections on a Record Player and General...
I grew up in an age when vinyl was fading. My formative years saw the rise of cassettes and then CD’s during the 80’s. I grew up with a Walkman for both formats.  Of course, cassettes died out, which they should have, due to their short lifespan. And now with the rise of digital music, CD’s appear on the verge of extinction. Most of my music library exists on my Macbook Pro,...

O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old: ~(Psalm 44:1 ESV) Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. ~(Exodus 40:34 ESV) And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they...
